Die diesjährige Haute Couture Kollektion aus dem Hause Dior hat unsere Erwartungen in vielerlei Hinsicht übertroffen. Insbesondere ihre bestechende Vielfältigkeit beeindruckt. Kerngedanke der Kollektion ist die Synthese unterschiedlicher Kulturen – was unweigerlich ein Gefühl der Freiheit und Offenheit erzeugt. Tragende Rolle spielen dabei die vier Kontinente Europa, Asien, Amerika und Afrika. Europa wird stellvertretend über den schicken Pariser Stil gezeigt. Während Amerika sich über Sportlichkeit – zu sehen anhand der gestreiften Teile – definiert.  Führt man dies weiter, findet man auch starke Assoziationen zu Asien und Afrika; zu Betrachten an kunstvoll drapierten Röcken und Kleidern, kimonoähnlichen Seidenstücken oder aufwendig gefertigten Gewändern und Schmuckstücken.
Und die Synergieeffekte übertragen sich auch automatisch auf das facettenreiche Frauenbild von heute. Motto: Die Vielfältigkeit der Mode spiegelt die Vielfältigkeit der Frau wider. Dazu Dior Kreativ-Direktor Raf Simons "Es geht nicht nur darum, dass Frauen Kleidung tragen, sondern darum, dass Frauen selbst entscheiden, wie sie sie tragen."

This years Haute Couture Collection by the fashion house Dior exceeded all our expectations by far in many respects. Particularly its diversity impresses. Central idea of the collection was the synthesis of different cultures - which inevitably creates a feeling of freedom and openness. Leading parts played the four continents Europe, Asia, America and Africa. Europe was shown representatively by the parisian chic. Meanwhile America defined itself - indicated by stripes - through sportiness. To carry this forward, there can also be found strong connotations to Asia and Africa; to be seen on artfully draped skirts and dresses, kimono alike silky pieces or elaborately-made garments and traditional pieces of jewellery.
The synergy effects transfer themselves automatically also on the multifaceted image of today's women.  
Motto: the diversity of fashion mirrors the diversity of a woman. Dior's creative director Raf Simons said, it was not about the fact that women wear clothes, but about the fact, that they decide themselves, how they wear them.
