Pringle of Scotland schafft es wieder einmal mit seiner Pre-Fall Kollektion zu überzeugen. Dazu sollte erwähnt werden, dass das in diesem Jahr wohl alles andere als selbstverständlich zu sein scheint. Deutlich ist vielmehr, wie man besonders derzeit eine Kategorisierung der Designer in zwei Gruppen auszumachen vermag. Den einen fehlt jeglicher Hang zur Innovation, was sich deutlich in ihren schablonenhaften Kreationen widerspiegelt. Ergänzt werden sie durch ihr extremes Komplement, jenen, die beständig mit überschwänglich experimentellen, und dabei keineswegs authentischen, Kollektionen aufwarten.

Massimo Nicosia, Kreativdirektor bei Pringle of Scotland, entzieht sich jedoch jeglicher Kategorisierung. Gekonnt präsentiert er eine Kollektion, die sich, wie zu sehen, wunderbar auf der Trennlinie dieser zwei Gruppen befindet. Die Kollektion ist subtil, gleichwohl stimmig und schlicht und spricht uns daher als erste unter all den bisherigen Kollektionen an. Passend für eine Herbstkollektion wurde bei dieser Linie mit Stoffen, wie Samt, Wolle und Kashmir gearbeitet. Wir sind begeistert!


Pringle of Scotland accomplishes it once again to impress with its pre-fall collection. At this point we should probably say that this does not seem to be something one could take for granted this year. In fact there seems to be happening a division between the designers into two groups. One of it categorized by the missing love for innovation, evidently reflected by their collections. The other one, the first one's extreme counterpart, consistently presenting gushingly innovative, and thereby anything but authentic, collections.

Massimo Nicosia, creative head of Pringle of Scotland, evades the categorization. Skillful he presents a collection, which seems to find itself exactly on the dividing line of those two groups. The collection is subtle, yet harmonious and simple and by that it is the first one of all the pre-fall collections so far, that is truly appealing to us. Properly for autumn the clothes were made out of materials like wool, velvet and cashmire. We are delighted!
